It seems that people are actually trying harder than we initially thought to irritate us. I found this site while searching the internets today. Silly internets and your web search results.

Ugh, I originally went to Arizona State where they handed out XL football shirts for everyone. This often resulted in some hoochie-style cut up and tied together ensembles, not unlike that picture. You just brought up some repressed memories.
Dang, now I have "Yellow Submarine" stuck in my head.
